The Green Man
“The only thing that can grow is the thing you give energy to” -Ralf Waldo Emerson. Spaceship Earth Salon features THE GREEN MAN, in a ongoing nonstop 10 hour (!) discordian chaos-magical act by performance artist and bodyworker Esben Vinsnes. The green man appears in many forms. Found in many cultures around the world, the Green Man is often related to natural vegetative deities springing up in different cultures throughout the ages. Primarily it is interpreted as a symbol of rebirth, or “renaissance,” representing the cycle of growth each spring. With a rich and layered background from physical theater, martial arts training and energy work, Esben Vinsnes is an experimental artist working with improvisatoric performance in varying spaces exploring the tension and reaction between body, mind and intuition. He is also one of Scandinavias few Kettlebell specialists and runs the holistic bodywork studio Falcon Body Works.

Reporting live from Stockholm: Alone at last, and breathing out after a few intense days of work and preparation, I’m drinking Ricard in the hotel lobby. Just returned from Gavelius where I refilled the steamers and spoke softly to our budding shroom-babies and kissed them goodnight. The stage is set and I’m waiting for the girls to come and sprinkle their magic dust over it all. I can feel my ether-body starting to merge with the pink oysters and I realize we are indeed alien… Roger. Copy. Out. Bzzt. SBN - The Green Man
